8 Budget-Friendly Kitchen Remodeling Ideas for the Beginner Cook

If you’re like me, then no matter how many times you read a recipe, you still look at the measurements in cups instead of ounces or grams. I know – it’s embarrassing. But to be honest, most recipes are written for an American audience, and since I’m not American (I’m Vietnamese-Canadian), I don’t usually own measuring cups. This is why whenever my friends invite me over for dinner, I always volunteer to bring dessert. Because dessert can be measured using just spoons – no need for expensive equipment! Not only that, but baking has other advantages as well. Baking forces me to slow down and take time out of my busy day to enjoy the process itself. Plus, baking always makes your house smell great in your Kitchen.

So in order to at least look like a domestic goddess in the kitchen, I searched for some really simple baking recipes that don’t require a lot of fancy equipment – and I was not disappointed!
