Anti-Semitic Fliers Were Sent In The Middle Of the Night, Prompting the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to Launch an Investigation

Story:

On Thursday morning, residents of a Lake County neighborhood found anti-Semitic fliers in their driveways.

The fliers, which were placed in plastic bags with rocks to weigh them down, featured a swastika and other Nazi symbolism. They also contained hateful messages about Jews.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident and has asked anyone with information to come forward.

“Hate has no place in our community,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “We are committed to investigating this matter and bringing those responsible to justice.”

This is not the first time that anti-Semitic fliers have been distributed in Lake County. In 2017, fliers promoting a white supremacist website were left at homes in Mundelein and Vernon Hills.

The distribution of these fliers comes at a time when anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise in the United States. According to the Anti-Defamation League, there was a 57 percent increase in anti-Semitic incidents in 2017, the largest single-year increase on record.

Conclusion:

We are committed to investigating this matter and bringing those responsible to justice.
